PBC MOURNS PASSING OF COACHING LEGEND CONDO – WILL HONOR AT HALL OF FAME
The Pittsburgh Basketball Club extends its prayers and condolences to the family of coaching legend Jean Condo.
Coach Condo was a pioneer in women’s athletics locally, regionally, and nationally. As title IX became a reality for female athletes through out the nation, women’s sports had no bigger ally, advocate, and leader than Coach Condo.
At her request, her modesty would not allow us to honor her in the inaugural PBC Women’s Hall of Fame class though unanimously selected. In honor of her memory and a legacy that has and will stand the test of time in Western PA athletics, the Pittsburgh Basketball Club is honored to announce Coach Condo will be honored proper with the PBC Hall of Fame class of 2023.
Rest in peace Coach Condo. Thank you for all that you did for so many.
PENN HILLS GILES NAMED 2023 CETRONE AWARD WINNER
Penn Hills Head Coach Chris Giles has been named the winner of the 2022-23 PBC Dick Cetrone Coach of the Year award.

Coach Cetrone’s 1983 State Championship team was Pennsylvania’s last 32-0 undefeated state champion. The feat has since been matched by New Castle (31-0 in 2014) and Aliquippa (30-0 in 2016).
