22-23 PBC-BC Bantam Leagues are underway

The 2022-23 PBC-BC Bantam Leagues are underway throughout the airport and beaver county areas.

Please see the Grade School page or the link below for schedules and the addresses where games are played. Please note that ALL SCHEDULES are subject to change. The bantam league will culminate with the crowning of champions in Upper, Mid and Lower divisions in grades 3 thru 6 in late February at Montour and New Brighton High Schools.

The PBC Hall of Fame week will kickoff with a weekend of games January 28 and 29, 2023 at the Montour Athletic Center on the campus of Montour High School.  The 2023 PBC Hall of Fame brunch will be held February 4, 2023 at Chartiers Country Club.

2023 LEGENDS CLASSIC SET TO KICK OFF HALL OF FAME FESTIVITIES

The PBC kicks off its Hall of Fame festivities January  21, 2023 with the annual Legends Classic at Moon High School.  This years event features some great match ups to kick off the Hall of Fame season! 4 great boys and 1 girls games are scheduled for the event!

The Pittsburgh Basketball Club Hall of Fame committee is very proud to  welcome home the following members of the 2022 PBC Legends Hall of Fame Class. We will be honoring this great group of players on February 4, 2023 at the PBC Hall of Fame Brunch at Chartiers Country Club. Under separate cover, we will be posting our honorees in the Community distinction, Luke Blanock Courage Award and the Jeff Wagner Award for officials.

2022 PBC WOMEN”S HALL OF FAME CLASS ANNOUNCED

The Pittsburgh Basketball Club Women’s Hall of Fame is very proud to announce the following have been selected to the PBC Women’s Hall of Fame, Class of 2022.

We will honor these amazing, coaches, contributors and student athletes at the Annual Women’s Hall of Fame Luncheon on November 5, 2022 at the banquet room at Rockefellers Grille. More information on tickets will be posted in the next few days.

2022 FALL LEAGUE REGISTRATION HAS BEGUN

The Pittsburgh Basketball Club is proud to host our 29th annual Fall League. This year’s leagues will be held at Central Catholic and Moon HS on Monday nights beginning September 19 and on Wednesday nights at Montour  beginning September 21.

We are also very pleased to add a JV Fall league on Monday nights, also at Moon High School. 

Space is extremely limited! Varsity leagues are only $435 per team and JV’s $395 per team.

The leagues have practically pre-booked to capacity! Each team will play 6 regular season games and we are proud to announce a Fall League Championship playoff!

DEPANTE NAMED 2022 WOVCHKO AWARD WINNER AS SUMMER LEAGUE MVP

Congratulations to Central Catholic Senior Dante DePante on being named the 2022 recipient of the Edward A. Wovchko Award as PBC Summer League Most Valuable Player.

Dante averaged 22.7 points a game in leading Central Catholic to there first PBC Summer League championship in school history.

Dante will be honored the weekend of January 28/29, 2023 during a game to be determined at the PBC High School Classic during PBC Hall of Fame weekend.

CENTRAL DEFEATS ALIQUIPPA FOR PBC SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIP

Congratulations to Coach Brian Urso and the Central Catholic Vikings for there 47-33 victory in the 4A-6A championship game.

The championship is the 1st for both Coach Urso and his staff as well as the first for Central Catholic in the 29-year history of the PBC Summer League.

Central defeated Hampton in the opening round then Penn Hills in the quarterfinals, followed by a hard fought win over Moon in the semi finals.  Aliquippa defeated South Fayette in the 1st round, then Baldwin in the quarterfinals as well as Char Valley in the semi finals to reach the championship game.

Congratulations to  Central Catholic on the championship game victory.
