2018 PBC SUMMER LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS TIP OFF JUNE 25

The 2018 PBC Summer League Championships will tip off June 25, 2018 at Montour High School. Annually the top undergrad tourney of the summer, the league championships will crown 2 champions, one in the 3A-1A division and another in the 4A-6A division. We will also crown a champion in our JV Division.

The Night of Champions will Tip off June 28, 2018 at Montour High School. Please come support the teams as they battle for the coveted PBC Summer League Championship. The league playoffs tend to be an amazing preview of the upcoming season.

2018 PBC DIVISION II-II LEAGUE KICKS OFF AT LAROCHE 6-25

 

The 9th annual PBC Division II-III league will again be held at LaRoche College starting June 25, 2018. Featuring 10 area teams, the league remains the only college summer league dedicated to competition at the D-II and D-III levels. 

Please take the time everyone and lets go out and support these kids. They play there butts off every night, many of them come to play after working a part time job during the day to go to school in the fall. Truly, student athletes competing. 

Regular season play will tip off June 25, 2018 at the air conditioned Kerr Center on the campus of LaRoche College. The regular season will conclude July 18, 2018 with the league playoffs taking place July 24, 2018.

PBC JUNIOR HIGH LEAGUE 2018

The PBC will host a Summer league for rising 7th grade (players grade in Fall, 2018) and 8th graders (players grade in Fall 2018) at Sto-Rox Middle School beginning in late May 2018.

Cost of the league is only $275 and will include 10 league jerseys per team. Space is extremely limited. We strongly suggest all teams incorporate younger players into this concept whenever possible.

Deadline to register is May 1, 2018. This league is for school based teams! NO AAU OR ALL STAR TEAMS.

PBC SUMMER LEAGUE 2018

Invitations to the 2018 PBC Summer League have been extended. We will be having leagues through out Western PA at the Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshman levels.

Varsity Leagues will be fully compliant with WPIAL and PIAA regulations. Cost of the league will be $625 and will include 8 regular season games and 12 reversible jerseys.

The league will conclude as always with the 2018 PBC Summer League championships at Montour High School June 25-28, 2018 with Champions being crowned in the big school, small school, and JV and Freshman divisions. Applications are posted below. Deadline to register May 15, 2018.

SCORING FACTORY 2018

The Scoring Factory, under the leadership of Coach Pete Strobl, will be hosting Youth Academies throughout Western PA in the spring of 2017.

With an emphasis on skill development, this is a great program for the aspiring basketball player. Coach Strobl is one of the nations leading skills development coaches and assists many area college players improve there game.

2018 CETRONE AWARD FINALISTS NAMED

2018 PBC HALL OF FAME BRUNCH RETURNS TO CHARTIERS COUNTRY CLUB FEBRUARY 2, 2019

 

The annual PBC Hall of Fame Brunch will return to Chartiers Country Club on February 2, 2019. Nominations are currently being accepted and the final ballot submitted to the selection committee May 1, 2018.

The class of 2018 will be announced Mid May 2018. Details of inductees for the class of 2018 as well as table and ticket prices will be announced at that time.

2018 PBC WOMENS HALL OF FAME SET FOR NOVEMBER 3, 2018

 

The 2nd annual PBC Women’s Hall of Fame brunch will be held November 3, 2018 at Rockefellers Grille in Kennedy Township.

The class of 2018 for the Women’s Hall of Fame  will be announced in late May 2018. We encourage the entire girl’s basketball community to attend. Details of inductees as well as table and ticket prices will be announced at that time.

PBC BANTAM CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK BEGINS MARCH 6

 

 

The 2017-18 PBC-BC Bantam league has been a big success. We will be crowning champions in 9 divisions beginning Tuesday March 6, 2018 with champions being crowned in our White Conference in grades 4-5-6 at Sto-Rox Middle School.

Championship week then will switch to Montour High School on March 7 and 8 where we will crown champions in our Gold and Blue conferences in grades 4-5-6.

After much debate last year about which conference was the stronger conference, we will hold a “Night of Champions” March 12, 2018 at Sto-Rox Middle School between the champions in grades 4,5,6 of the Gold and Blue divisions.

There are 2 semifinal games being played in our White Division March 5, 2018, but here is the schedule of game as of this writing. We will update this after tomorrow nights games.
